Knowing how to read music is essential for any musician, but knowing how to play music by ear can be much more enjoyable. Some people believe they will never be able to achieve this, quite the opposite. The best way to improve at playing by ear is to dive in and give it a shot. When it comes to music, some people are simply talented, and they can play anything even if they have only heard or listened to it once. Of course, being musically gifted isn't the only factor. Through exercises and consistent practice, you, too, may improve your ability to play music by ear. You may learn to play music by ear and play anything on the saxophone without using any notes or written music by learning and practicing. The majority of self-taught musicians learned to play by ear; they picked up their instrument and began playing an easy melody from a well-known song, gradually picking out the notes as they went along. Even after these musicians have mastered their instruments or a specific song, they still rely heavily on ear training. Many pop and rock bands don't use sheet music to play or write their songs; instead, they learn by ear. Non-musicians are also prone to it.
